When you call us about a test drive and vehicle inspection, you're likely considering a used car and want to be sure it's a sound investment. You might be nervous about hidden problems or unsure what to look for. This service is your chance to evaluate the car's condition, performance, and comfort before committing to a purchase.

We start by handing you the keys and letting you take the car on a mixed route—city streets and a highway stretch. You'll test acceleration, braking, steering response, and listen for odd noises. Back at the lot, we provide a Carfax report and encourage you to have an independent mechanic inspect the car on a lift, checking the engine, transmission, brakes, and suspension.

The time and cost of this process vary based on the vehicle's age, mileage, and condition. A newer car with a clean Carfax may need only a short drive and basic inspection. An older model or one with a questionable history might require a longer test drive and a more thorough mechanical check. Weather can affect test drive conditions, but we work around it.

On the day of your test drive, just bring your driver's license. We'll handle the paperwork and have the car ready. After the drive, we clean up any debris and return the car to the lot. You're free to take the car to your mechanic; we ask that you return it within a reasonable time. No special prep is needed from you.
